Well I have modded a 350d and now have done my 450d which was actually pretty easy to do or mybe I am just lucky lol any way I put together a rough guide on my blog if any one is doing this it might help you out. Main points where making sure all the ribbon cables went back in nice and tight had to remove the back again and reseat a few of them before it came back to life but if your up for the challenge I hope this helps.

Pretty good.

Most important to keep the sensor shims in their correct locations, to prevent sensor tilt.

All too easy for them to fall out if you tilt the body.

You might include some Static Electricity precautions.

And gloves when handling the sensor, very easy to get an accidental fingerprint !

But step-by-step instructions (not video) are already on Gary Honis's site:

Cheers Michael and thanks for the link I couldn't find it when I looked and good point about fitting the sensor back. It is a bit fiddly and my eye sight is not as good as it used to be but totally worth doing but only on a cheap second hand camera. Got myself a Ha filter today so looking forward to trying that out on the modded camera tonight 👍
