Which guide camera???

Evening all,

Am looking to get a guide camera with a max buget of £150.

What do i buy ? AHY5 / Orion Star shoot / 2nd hand meade dsi ?

Or is there anything else i should consider?

It will be used with a 60mm refractor mounted on an 8" SCT

Advise allways welcome so please dont be shy.

I replaced my DSI with the QHY5 and use it on the ST80; works as advertised!

A good s/h DSI II would be a worthwhile alternative.

Hard to fault the QHY5, large chip so always lots of guide stars available, works well with PHD, and can turn to a spot of planetary imaging at a push.

Thankyou Brendon, I think iam sold on the QHY5. Its bang on buget and i thought it looked good but just wanted to check with others first before spending my hard earned!
