Just Some Boring Sunspots

Not a great image after all the great photos some of you got of the prom, yesterday, but by the time I got home and set up it was all over or I just failed to capture it. There are a couple of small groups of sunspots, but nothing terribly exciting.

D800, 600 mm lens and solar filter.

Never anything boring about Sunspots, a couple years ago we weeks and weeks of no spots at all

Yes, I remember those days. I also remember a huge spot that was naked eye visible on the setting Sun back in the nineties.

Stop laughing at the back!
I saw a naked eye sunspot on my way home from school.
Probably 1959. That was in the last century. 👴
It could have been a balloon.
But they were rarer than naked eye sunspots back then.

Sunspots are very welcome.. seen a white light blank disc plenty of times and then it feels like Christmas if one appears... Just like magic...

Anyway.. your focus looks good, if you added a continuum filter it might give you a little better contrast...
