Lulin thru binos

I've been trying to spot Lulin with 10x50 binos, handheld - with no joy.

Does anyone know if it is visible thru binos at the moment at what is its magnitude??

It's heading away from us now going through Gemini.

It's at a distance of 1.1Au and at a mag of 8.8.

So it will be a struggle to see this in 10x50 bins.

I tried for Lulin with 9x63mm binos but no joy - mind you the transparency was poor that night. I might try again to see if I can get it before it disappears.

I could not see it with 10x50s, during the last week of March from France. And this despite a few pretty good clear nights and having a chart to show exactly where to look! Lost to view for bin-users, I reckon.

It was visible in bins. But that was a month ago.

It's now getting too faint to see.
