Hi Guys

Exceptionally clear and transparent skies here last night.

Only the second time i have imaged this particular subject.

Stacked in DSS and processed in CS2.

Tried getting rid of the vignetting with PixLnsight.

Nice one GF, not sure if this would help, but in photoshop, you can increase the blacks using the selective colour option, I use it a bit to darken the background on my images.

Hi Graham, your skies DO look good!

It looks like pixinsight has struggled with that a bit. Did you remember not to have sample points over the galaxy itself?

I tend to use the auto generate function for placing sample points, then remove any which lay over stars or galaxies. this way you get a very even spread, and any variances are more accurately picked up. It seems to work best for me very early on in the processing stream. If you need any help with that, just holler.

Very nice M51 anyway, lovely colour.
