Just back from a couple of clear, starry nights near Grantown on Spey (single Malts also good). Total of 12 hours of observing (+ a wee bit of imaging) over the 2 nights. Had an 8" LX90 with me, but access to a 12" Skywatcher Dob : ) Had an orgy of Messier bagging.

Decided to start with all "the usual suspects", M1, M34 (Jumping Man), M35, M36-38, M42, M44, M45, M53, M63, M81-82, M65-66, M95-96 & M105 (Leo triplet). Nice to be in dark skies (amazing what a big bin bag over the nearest street light can do - see image.

Then moved on to the Virgo Cluster - M49, 58, 59, 60, 61, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 98 & 100. Whew - a bit "fuzzued out" after all that.

Saturn looked nice too :) Pity about my poor imaging :) - perhaps partly due to the beer.

Unfortunately I never took one, I was too busy with the 15" feet of drainpipe with the "lightshroud" on the end

Drat - another photo opportunity gone west.

Hope you got some observing on Saturday night Gary.
