DSLR mount for Celestron DX6

Recommended Posts

Hi,

does anyone know from where I can buy such a mount   (Ideally in Europe/EU, but from US/rest of World is fine too)  ?   The DSLR is one of the Canon EOS models and the scope a Schmidt-Cassegrain Celestron DX6.

thanks

Ian

I don't have that telescope but I'm tempted to say a T ring for your canon EOS camera and a T mount would do it. Use either 1.25 or 2 inch depending on what your telescope is set up for

Ebay.de- The ring from camera to a 42mm adapter costs about 2-3 Euros and the fitting, either for 2" or 1.25" from adapter to scope 9 Euros, don't pay more 🙂

Looks like the OTA is a standard Celestron 6” SCT, so t-ring

https://www.celestron.com/products/t-ring-for-canon-eos-ef-mount-camera

you may also need the t-adapter to get sensor to the correct position.

The above is what i have on my Celestron 8” SCT

OR, you could get an M42-1.25” nose piece and the t-ring.

the first combination would be my recomendation.

FLO will sell all of these, as do many other resellers.

Hi, thanks all.    Mount and adapter ordered - also bought a couple of new eyepieces ( 25mm, 7mm ) at the same time.

I'll let you know how we get on...nights are getting darker and Saturn is just coming above the horizon for us at a reasonable time :)
