Sun in Whitelight 15th July 2022 . Best seeing for months ...

Staggered to see how good it was this morning , a dream start to any day , I hope other folk got to cash in on the conditions too ...  

The stack straight from AS!3 was better than most of my 'finished' images ... 

It's so rare to see crisp detail across so many regions at the same time in a single frame , but I caught 94 frames just like this from just 360 shot before the usual wibbly-wobbly retuned ....

I've cancelled my plans to venture into the Ha world because of the rubbish seeing of late , and even the idea of shifting up a notch to a 150 frac for whitelight seems pointless too ... I just accept the generally inevitable wibbles and fully appreciate the good days ...

Good looking images Steve, hopefully the seeing is as good in about 45 minutes when i go out.  I made a 200mm aperture filter for my C9.25, even though i pretty much knew the conditions might only support it once a month if i am lucky 🙂

I just can't bear the thought of forking out a couple of grand only to see the kit just sitting around unused ...
