Just come in from my session Pete , it was pretty good here first thing (06:45) but soon started to deteriorate .

I was observing in Southampton - white light relatively late this morning (10:30 -11:45) and given the time seeing was very good.

They say that earlier in the morning before the sun heats the earth causing hot air thermals is better ...

this certainly seems to be the case, but that is also obviously when the sun is going to be quite low in altitude which isnt ideal. I think the Jetstream being way north of the UK must have helped as well.

Yes, as it does with any planetary lucky imaging
