The Cat's Eye again

here is NGC 6543 at 2500mm, straight up through the mist. Posted recently but this one is bigger and has more focused sharpening to try to bring out some of the detail.

Tremendous image, you have really pulled out the strange shape of this great Planetary. Was this last night? I was blighted by thin high cloud, stuck at my visual target list, but was defeated by the cloud in the end! Thanks for sharing

Great result Dennis. I tried this for 6 hours last night, using subs lengths from 120 down to 10 secs, I took over 600 subs in the end! Which only served to prove one thing to me, how difficult this thing is to get any detail on at all! I was amazed to see the neb showing up brighter than the nearby stars.

Again, great result, you must be pleased with that.

Very nice! I am always really impressed when someone catches such a small planetary nebula such as this - I find them incredibly difficult myself, and so have given up for the time being until i get more experience under my belt.
