Cant find the right screws for 10" rings

I have invested in 2 new dovetail bars to stiffen things up and attach a guide scope to my setup. I've come a cropper with the tube ring screws. Obviously I have two originals to use to attach the 10" Newt rings to the EQ6 Pro. However I need two more to attach the 2nd dovetail bar. Here's what I've tried so far...

Went in to focus and got some M6 Machine screws. They are the right thickness and length however the thread simply wont screw in. (As it happens these are the same screws I use for my 120mm tube rings for my evostar refractror and they screw in perfectly. ) So the 10" tube rings must use a slightly different thread

Anybody know where I can get the right screws for 10" tube rings?

Matt, my guess would be 1/4" UNC, these can be purchased from Namrick " NAMRICK : " amongst other companys, not generally available from general merchants, 1/4" Whitworth would be an alternative but not ideal as the thread angle is slightly different.
