NGC 3953

Next door to M109 is NGC 3953 which is another barred spiral like M109 but with a tighter spiral structure. Below is the product of quite a few hours of stuffing around with a challenging guiding experience, caused by me. First forgetting to connect the ST4 cable and then no turning on the long exposure switch on the webcam. There's more to come from this one, hopefully if the weather stays good, but here's 1hr 18mins worth of 3mins subs at ISO 1600:

Hi Richie, I used an 8" reflector, Orion XT8.
