Thought I’d have a little play with this, out of curiosity really. Have had to take some liberties so I beg your indulgence for that. 😊

Here’s a patched up and cleaned up version of starless M31 with a view to showing off the dust lanes. 
 

Captured using WO Redcat 51, ASI294mc pro, optolong l-eNhance filter

Processed using starnet++, Gradient Xterminator, Photoshop and Astro Flat Pro.
