Stella Lyra binoviewer

Recommended Posts

What about this new offering from Stella Lyra? It’s claimed that it doesn’t require the in-focus that others do. No barlow or GPC needed to reach focus. The optical path differs in these in that it utilizes a beam splitter as opposed to prisms. Linear IP adjustment with twist lock eyepiece holders. No eyepieces provided.

Also been reviewed by Sky & Telescope. Will look back to find when. There are some oddities I recall, for terrestrial use.

May 2020. Well worth reading before purchase.Generally favourable but would not lead me to change from my prism binos, Denk. Not much lighter either!

I'd like to take a punt for >250x planetary use in my f4.5 dob, but apparently they're better suited for lower power views - open to correction!
