Early season Noctilucent Clouds...

Recommended Posts

...over a derelict shooting house above Swaledale, N. Yorkshire.  The faint white wispy stuff...

...sort of heads up for the ongoing competition - SGL 2022 Challenge 5 - Noctilucent Clouds.

Just before midnight June 1st.  Sky - 3.2s, f3.5, iso800, light painted foreground 3 x f6.3, 3.2s, iso400.  Canon 6D MkII, Sigma 105mm.

Looking forward to bigger and brighter displays!!  Paul.

Super image, Paul. The really well-controlled light painting works nicely with the relatively gentle NLC display. 👌

Really slow start round here for them. I’ve been out 5 times in the last week and only one, very faint camera-only showing.
