Why does my M92 RGB come out fine from WBPP and not my Luminance ?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Trying to figure out why my Luminance come out as black and white blobs (black and white as in 1 and 0) like a mask. But my RGBs come out beautifully.
I end up needing to do my Lum manually for it to work. What am I doing wrong ? I cant find any faults in Blink either.

Note that I have sorted the issue by changing to Linear Fit Clipping instead of using auto but I am curious why WBPP does this? Anyone have an answer ?

Here are the results after WBPP on auto and with some settings. As you can see my RGB and calibration files are nice and clean, just not the LUM.

Kind regards
Roger

It’s hard to say. Did you make sure that you unchecked CFA options for all frames?  I never integrate light frames using BPP.  I calibrate then use the star alignment tool then the image integration tool.  But first I use sub frame selector to remove inferior subs.  Integration should remove the satellite trails. I would try just calibrating with WBPP and see what you get
