Aristarchus and its rimae in monochrome and colour

Recommended Posts

Continuing with the theme or rimae this week, I had a go at Aristarchus. I tried to bring some of the colours out but I think the monochrome version is better. 8" Dob, asi120mc-s, 2x barlow.

Lovely capture. Aristarchus was so prominent yesterday evening - it must be one of the brightest lunar features.

Yes it was looking great. I thought I could see a bluish hue. The rimae was not the best in terms of lighting.
