Asiair plus controlling lx200 on wedge

Hi does anyone have any experience of the above set up. I have the 12inch lx200 some 15years old and am using the asiair plus at present very successfully with Esprit 100 on eq6 mount. Keen to try the fig scope for galaxy photos.

Hi David

Depends whether it's a LX200 Classic or a LX200GPS/ACF.

The LX200GPS with ASCOM and the ASCOM Meade Generic driver will work with PHD2, and so maybe with ASIAir, but at that long FL I'd recommend an Off Axis Guider.

Which will require a sensitive mono guidecam, a budget ASI120M may not be sensitive enough.

Thanks it’s an  lx200 gps I will use focal reducer so fl will be 1800mm  off axis guider sounds a must compared with my 250mm guide scope. Thanks for your encouraging comments
