Jjmorris90
How do I know if my mount has backlash? the gears are moving nicely. Just I’ve had problems with tracking so want to pinpoint it. The video I’ve attached is the mount tracking a random object at 0.5x. IMG_0127.MOV
Same old newbie alert
Large backlash you can feel by rocking the axis back and forth, if out knocks it's quite large.. if you guide with PhD it will tell you if you run the guiding assistant Ps, that link don't work for me What mount is it? michael8554
Link doesn't work. If you track an object at 0.5x, then images will trail in RA. You should always track at 1x. Unless you mean GUIDING at 0.5x ? Michael
