NINA error

Recommended Posts

First time out last night with new kit ,thought i would try the three point polar alignment plugin, but kept getting the error in the attached photo .

the mount seemed to move to the first 2 locations no bother ,it was the 3rd when the error appeared and i noticed the mount only moved a tiny bit then stopped .could the mount have moved to its limit ?

i tried adjust as per tips in the error box.

I had the same error.  Make sure the setting 'start from current position' is selected ON (assuming you have slewed to some area of clear sky)

I think you are better slewing to either east or west depending on your available sky, and then start from there..

ok tried your suggestion last night and it worked great thank you .

hate the horrible metal adjusters on the HEQ5 mount though .east west was easy but took an age to get the elevation right.....😉

got 3 good hours of data captured on the pinwheel hopefully.
