My first mineral moon

This is my first attempt at shooting a colour saturated moon. There as been some amazing mineral moon images posted recently so I have been wanting to give it a try. This was captured using a canon 550d and a SW250pds.

Colour looks great Martyn. Its a lot of fun bringing out the subtle colours isn't it.

Thanks for comments and likes everyone. @Trevor N I will look forward to seeing your rendition of a mineral moon. I thoroughly enjoyed this project and it wasn't that time consuming either. I'll just add that I took 50 shots raw with a canon 550d then converted the files to a tiff and processed as usual. @neil phillips bringing the colour out Neil was great fun but what I did notice was it didn't need much sharpening as every time I increased the saturation contrast etc it seemed to over sharpen the image. I think a little bit at a time is best.

I have also started wading in the colour pool....  it IS fun.  hehe.   Nice image....  I think DSLRs have an easier time with getting good colour than one shot astro cams.    I am certainly not there yet
