A mix of clusters and doubles

Tonight's session with the 12" Dob.

Double cluster - had to start with this. Just spectacular in the 12" at x69

Sirius - once I'd spotted the pup, it became surprisingly easy to see at x190

Rigel - very easy split

NGC 1746 - a loose cluster in Taurus

NGC 1647 - another Taurus cluster. A wide collection of stars

M38 - nice looking cluster with lots of stars

NGC 1907 - a lot smaller than I expected, faint too. Probably needed more than the x69 I was using to do it justice.

M36 - another one of those you visit time and again

M35 - popped into Gemini for this old favourite

Castor - excessively bright in the 12". Probably best kept for the 102mm

Procyon - no go. 12" just isn't enough

Σ728 - A tight, not quite even pair at x190

Σ795 - A very tight even pair, but a good split at x190. 1.0" seems easy for the 12"

Σ816 - an uneven pair. Looked good at x190

Σ817 - a wide pair at x69

ΟΣ111 - Uneven with a bright primary. Easy at x190, just seen at x69.
