Conditions a tad better. Still very disturbed. Switched back to flos Astro essentials W47 Violet Stacked with a homemade BG39 to control the IR leak. inherent with the w47 filter.

Its difficult getting anything out. A dedicated filter should help. But unsure how much yet under these conditions. . Elevation can apparently affect UV cloud. As can poor seeing. And capturing in bright daylight. I am struggling to get anything out. Certainly interesting trying though. I am not giving up just yet

Good looking images again Neil, nicely defined phase. I was out again as well, until 9.30 conditions were not great especially in UV i could not get any detail.

Hi Pete That tells me a lot. As i know what your capable of. I have been finding it very difficult too. But wasn't sure if it was conditions or the equipment not performing very well. Sounds like conditions then. Next year will be better. Looking on stellarium. Worth trying more as the illumination widens. Tried this morning but wind was blowing the planet off screen

I didn't bother today after yesterdays poor show. I am going to check my settings for previous images that have shown good detail in the past. Not sure i got it quite right, despite the conditions.
