9.02.2022 A bridge near Ptolemy?

Hi,

A crater with a "bridge" popped up on some of my [rather soft] images from yesterday afternoon.
I have been searching but cannot find a name for this feature. Probably just a trick of the light where two craters overlap?

Thank you, Sir, but I am not trying to start a new paranoia convoy.
Let's keep this a secret between us for the moment, eh?  :wink2:

BTW: I noticed a similar "bridged" crater slightly further south.
Obviously a trick of the light but still interesting.
Can I claim first dibs on toll gates for the loony lunar tourists?

Top arrow points to crater Delaunay and bottom arrow points to the merged craters of Nonius L and K.

Rükl describes Delaunay as a 'formation 50km in diameter, heart-shaped, divided by the central mountain range'.

A very nice image Rusted considering it was captured in daylight.
@johninderby Great information John. This could make a great imaging project for the Classic Cassegrain?

Thanks.
The seeing became even softer after dark.
Which was odd considering the high altitude of the Moon at the time.
