Hicks
It's been a while since I've had chance to image this object, my set-up location has limited views of the sky. Exposure Time: 30×120s AvgDate: 2009-03-05 03:06 UTCCCD: Starlight XPress MX716Scope: LX90 8″Dark Frames: 10×120s AvgFlat Frames: 10×0.8s AvgAlso, just visible in the lower right is IC 4263.I'm still not happy with the focus which may be partially down to poor seeing. I'm thinking about buying the Astrozap from FLO though, which should help determine when the focus is just right. This image was also the first time I've ever tried using flats to get rid of the nasty vignetting which has caused no end of problems during processing. There's still a slight gradient visible on the image which could be down to either light pollution or a problem with the flat fields been not truly flat. Either way, the flat box seems to be doing a really good job A couple of images of the light box can be seen here and hereOverall I'm quite pleased with the image.
