asteria
Hi there - this is a good development. I use binos and they are so handy for a quick view of the night sky - great to see a dedicated area of the site. Thanks for all the recent postings.Ed
argonaut
Hello Ed,Welcome to the bino forum.Binoculars are certainly good for grab and go astronomy. With the weather in the UK it can be be time wasted setting a scope up before the cloud moves in. Two eyed viewing is excellent as well.Clear Skies.Glen. ron.s.g
Hi Guys,i also purchased some bins 25x100 because of the weather and to take on holiday with me as i go to cyprus a couple of times a year, its so easy to just nip in and set up on the tripod when i get home from work or the clouds roll away for a while,i drive trains so finish at odd times of day and have found them so simple to set up and take down.regards ron.s.g

ron.s.g
Hi Glen, its just so simple to have a quick look around, have just posted regarding getting a caravan so i can take the scope to some dark sites, bins make life simple but i get frustrated because you cannot increase the magnification, its just every time the scope is set up in roll the clouds, also find it difficult to locate nebula etc as still too much pollution for the bins to cope with.Ron.s.g
argonaut
Hi Ron.I was surprised the other night when M51 proved easy for me in the GT100's. That's a first for me. I could even make out the core and it's little satellite galaxy. Not spotted it in my TV85 yet. Very difficult with the light pollution.M101 is my next difficult object.Glen.
