refractor2345
I will start with mine: A 70/700 achromatic refractor on an AZ2 mount, (Sorry I couldn't get a photo of it, I will when I can) What's your Refractor Grab n' Go setup? mikeDnight
All my refractors are grab and go in my mind, as I can carry any of them, along with their mounts in one go. The smallest is a 72mm ED. Next is a Genesis SDF 101mm F5.4 richfield. And finally a Takahashi 100mm F8 Apo. Edited January 25 by mikeDnight

Stu
Several options here. FS60C, FC76DC and FC100DC, all pretty much grab and go depending on how I’m feeling. Fortunately they all look quite similar, so I try not to let them been seen together . I do a lot of solar observing with them, the 76 is out right now for quick use during breaks.

I revised my wordng to focusable from variable ie the ep turns to bring the focus in.

Sunshine
Do we ever get tired of looking at beautiful telescopes? no, some wonderful units on display here though I did need to fetch my glasses to find Stu’s first image but it’s there. Having just one myself it has no choice but to be a grab and go, even if it suddenly gained 50lbs. Edited January 20 by Sunshine 9
Nicola Fletcher
Yet another Tak - my FC76-DCU. I can make it more grab and go with a smaller mount but I really like the AZ-EQ5! 8

cupton
Vixen ED80Sf and/or Pentax 20x60 bins on a monopod along with 10x50's which are also at the ready. Guess it all depends on how darn cold it is out. Lately its been all about the bin's!
cajen2
Why only refractors? You couldn't get much more 'grab and go' than my 150p Flextube dob! One minute to set up. Edited January 25 by cajen2

I was born in Wexford and I remember my friend and I would lie on our backs in summertime stargazing. Of course back then light pollution was non-existent and in winter the sky was inky black. Not an exaggeration to say if someone was three foot from you then you had difficulty seeing them. The stars were fascinating but it was the famous meteorite in April 1969 that I saw from Wexford which really sowed the seed for me. https://stargazerslounge.com/topic/334607-the-fireball-of-april-1969/#comment-3642516 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-48023047 1

Always a pleasure to use and have to remind myself it’s only 80mm as it gives such pleasing views. Everyone should have a classic long frac.

We will have someone arguing it's a fantastic combo any second. After a great deal of deliberation I've decided to pick up a Skymax 127 for the AZ5 and AZGTi. The 4" ED will be replaced by a 5" apo. Two scopes and two binoculars are enough for me (until I retire, move house and buy a 12" dob... ) Edited January 25 by ScouseSpaceCadet
johninderby
The Skymax 127 will be perfect on the AZ5.
