Venus @ 2pm

Found Venus this afternoon and grabbed this image of the 0.7% illuminated disk.

The seeing was all over the place but AS and Registax provided a half decent resullt.

130mm frac, 2x barlow and ASI 178mm.

Added a bit of colour to the mono image 🙂

Always a source of wonder what you can get from the data. This why it is referred to as lucky imaging i guess, a term i must admit i dislike.  They may be an element of luck, but there is a lot of skill as well, as shown by your excellent image
