Last Quarter Moon in Daylight

Hi my fellow stargazers! I just came in from an early morning daylight observation of the last quarter moon. The moon looked great against the blue sky. Crater Copernicus was starting to get covered in shadow. Sinus Iridium looked different at this lunar angle with crater Bianchini prominent. The highlight was identifying the mountain ranges Cordillera and Rook on the far western limb of the moon. Lacus Autumni and Lacus Veris were nicely visible as well. I noticed a dark area right on the far western limb, lo and behold it was Mare Orientale! The "eastern sea" on the western limb! I was happy to glimpse it, I've always wanted to see it after reading a lot about it from Sir Patrick Moore books growing up. A satisfying early morning daylight session of a lunar phase I rarely observe. Clear skies to all!
