Another Heart - SHO

Last night started off really well and held such great promise with CO showing Green from 1800 - 0500. Wow!!

Sadly it was not to be with conditions deteriorating really quickly around midnight - I found it quite difficult to discern the main components of M45 by eye - time to pack up.

This is 9hrs 7mins of data - 180m Ha, 90m SII, 235m of OIII and 42m of L ; OIII and L taken with the RedCat + ASI1600MM - Ha and SII taken with the Samyang 135 + ASI183MM - both atop the CEM25EC - unguided.

As always C&C welcome.

Thanks for looking.

Love the sharpness and detail.

Thanks Vlad. I am really pleased with the way the RedCat and Samyang complement each other so well. For a small lens the SY offers a surprising amount of detail once it's well set up and focussed.

Superb Adrian, excellent detail at 100% within the Heart and IC1795.  The wispy nebulosity sweeping off the Heart at the top and also all the way down the right looks great too.

Thank you Lee. Not sure about the veracity of the l.h.s. though.

The Samyang + RedCat dual setup is a winner - when it's all singing along together!

Lovely image Adrian.  Amazing amount of detail.

Thank you Jody.

It's taken a lot of fiddling around to get the Samyang perfectly setup but having done so it really can deliver detail when used with the ASI183 and it complements the RedCat really well.

Very nice image! The details are really crisp!

Personally I don't mind the more subtle colors, but it could also look good with a little more "pop" maybe.

Thank you - the RedCat+1600 and Samyang+183 is a win-win combination.

I can do a little more "pop" :)

I was going to do a lot more "pop" but thought better of it :)

Thanks again for your kind comments.

Brilliant!

Quick question regarding the Redcat.. If I remember it had some QA issues in the beginning, is this still an issue or have subsequent batches been better?

I seem to recall a few folk had some issues but that was a long time back. I am delighted with mine and others I know who have them seem equally pleased with the results they get. It is a really well made scope and for me definitely a "keeper". I could almost be tempted by the new RedCat 71 - one day maybe.
