Hi Guys

Tried imaging for the first time on my recently acquired second hand HEQ5 standard mount last night.

Details

C8N newt @ prime focus

24 subs each 75 secs (unguided) @ ISO 800

Quite pleased with the result as there seemed to be very very little star trailling evident

HI Graham,

Theres some very nice detail in the galaxies :lol:

Bias frames would help with the vertical streaking and darks with the glow around the edges the 300D normally needs a bit longer between subs than the laetr canons - a good place to start if 1/2 the exposure time and then either increase this is you still see "glow" or reduce it if you don't...
