Uranus Opposition

Braved the cold last night to get this image taken with a ZWO462 camera, 3x Barlow and an Altair 102 Triplet. This is early days for my planetary imaging so all feedback welcome. I'm not sure if the focus is off a hair or  if its the limit of resolution with the setup

You've captured some of Uranus satellites as well, very nice! Is this a mono camera? Uranus looks usually green-blue  to me.

Nice work. Thought I’d have a look on SkySafari to identify some Uranian moons and some faint >mag 12 stars. Only Miranda not visible and that’s mag 15.9!

Thanks for the feedback, @Nik271 it is a colour camera and the files out of the camera have Uranus as white. I was using an IR Cut filter if that could be response ?

The moons are far dimmer than the planet and I guess it is simply that Uranus is overexposed thus swamping any colour. It's a great photo still!

I’m no imager but I think people tend to do composites when showing planets with their moons. As @Nik271 suggests the exposure to capture the moons blows out any colour on Uranus.

The only way I can capture both is to do a double exposure, one for moons and one for the planet. It's effectively a HDR capture I guess. (Noob here also, relatively speaking)

It blows out the banding Though i should add unless a larger scope than the one used in the post. Only the colour will be salvaged by exposing less. But scopes in the 10" Range can pickup detail with careful use of exposure and or gain

Very nice to see all those Moons on show!
