stefski
Hi All,After a disasterous night last night.....(don't let me get started...)...I'm thinking of a way of having all my gear 'ready for action' for any brief break in the cumulus. All you chaps and chapesses who have an obsy, can you give advice/costs. i have avery small garden which, sadly, is north facing and overlooked. garage runs along one side. Two small boys who will climb/knock down/injure selves on anything that isn't sturdy and a least not in the middle of the small lawn......Any ideas/links? I have an extremely limited budget (read 'credit card I mustn't use').Cheers in advance.Stef
Psychobilly
I know some people have used low level roll-off storage cabinets rather than an obs big enough to stay in with the scope...Billy... Edited March 1, 2009 by Psychobilly
Merlin66
I built a 8' x 6' Argos Tin Shed Observatory, which has managed to survive the Winter very well. Total cost was about 300GBP.There's a thread somewhere.....FOUND IT!http://ukastroimaging.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=40174.0A cheap workable solution!! michaelmorris
If you want a very cheap observatory then the way to go is a run-off shed. Martin Mobberley and Sir Patrick both use them.
