SGL 2021 challenge 8 - All about Orion

41 x 300s (about 3.4 hours).  Equipment:  SW 80 ED,  ZWO 294 MC Pro, L-Pro.  Image capture with NINA and processed in PI.  Only  posting the Luminance channel just because I like it. :)

A later entry shot saturday night. M78. Been trying all sorts of ways to image this - tricky one. Eventually got a result with my 150 newt, and uv/ir filter on asi533, then combining a bit of Ha from a wider shot from my 80ED and asi1600.

Processed in APP, Siril and Affinity Photo (with starXterminator, and a bit of Topaz denoise.

And another late entry!

I thought to myself "what does this thread need?" That's right, more Horsehead nebula. Haven't seen a starless* version, so here's my attempt, made up of 7 hours of Ha captured over a couple nights in early-mid Jan

*well, almost starless - the GHS script in PI did such a good job of controlling Alnitak, it seemed wrong to leave it out!

Captured on 20th January 2022 with my triple imaging rig and processed in PixInsight.  HSO.

Ha - 29x5m = 2h25m   ASI 294MM camera with Ha 3nm Astrodon filter and 200mm Asahi Super Takumar lens
OIII - 8x15m = 2h         ASI 1600MM-C camera with OIII 3nm Astrodon filter and 200mm Asahi Super Takumar lens
SII - 6x20m = 2h          ASI 1600MM-C camera with SII 3nm Astrodon filter and 200mm Asahi Super Takumar lens
Guider                          ASI 178MM camera and 55mm Asahi Super Takumar lens stopped down to f4

Capture systems Raspberry Pi 4B running Astroberry Server x 3.  Connected via Ethernet to tower computer running KStars/Ekos.
