EQMOD and Bluetooth Gamepad

Hello,

anyone ever got a bluetooth gamepad working with EQMOD?

I tried it with a cheap "china-gamepad" - but it's not working with EQMOD.

In Windows it's working - can test it with the Windows Test Program (joy.cpl)

In EQMOD nothing happens.

Tried it with an USB Gamepad too - that's working with EQMOD without a problem.

Any idea how to use a bluetooth gamepad with EQMOD?

Try posting on the EQMOD group - there may be a reason.  Personally I've only used a USB gamepad when setting up the mount in the observatory, but that was the only time.  It may be down to the protocol your BT pad uses not being seen, or maybe EQMOD only supports USB devices ?

I don't think the gamepad code in eqmod is listening for a Bluetooth device. I suspect the answer is an intermediary device that turn the device into appearing as a usb.

Well back in 2019 the question was being mentioned on EQMOD group

Seems its a windows issue rather than EQMOD / ASCOM issue

When I started to automate my imaging I used one of THESE Wireless USB controllers though my Windows laptop with EQMOD and it worked well. Not tried a BT version though.
