NEW Rowan AZ75 Alt-Azimuth Mount.

Recommended Posts

I like the look of this. I've been tempted by the 100 but it's overkill (both financially and weight capacity wise) for my ED120. The lack of slo mo is a bit of a downer as I've always found them handy on undriven mounts

No slow motion, it’s a push to mount, part of its simplicity

I have started an AZ75 thread in Mounts section.

My prayers were very nearly answered by Rowan bringing out this new mid range mount!!  something similar but better than the Skytee 2, only thing that totally baffled me was no Slo Mo’s??
Is it too late to have them incorporated or is this the final design apart from a few minor tweaks?

Finally - a lightish high quality alt-az mount.

I am very, very interested in this mount.

Look forward to seeing how much it weighs…..

BUT - In my opinion it needs slo-mo controls to make it ideal.

I am not too worried about slow motion controls. With such high quality and precision and the adjustable tension with low stiction I expect it will be fine.

Besides I already have the AZ100! 😀
