Nothing to see here, just parts of the sun on an unfathomable scale being flung towards everything we've ever known and ever will know being dissipated by an invisible force field we barely understand manifested as a continent-sized display of magic-like energy.

No but seriously, Stereo A and B are like the coolest things ever. (best way of how we know when these things come)

Edit: Wow, didn't know they were offline sad news.

Probably only Scotland and far north of England stand any chance …

Well there’s that well known double positive here in Scotland - Aye, right!

Nothing indicated on aurorawatch from the magnetometers...

That's because this is a forecast based on solar activity, rather than a measurement of current activity in the Earth's magnetosphere

Spaceweather.com says:
" NOAA forecasters say there is a 35% chance of geomagnetic storms today, Oct. 11th, when a halo CME is expected to hit Earth's magnetic field. "

The Glendale app (and website) are a good source of current activity - people post weather and any sightings of aurora. You can also have the website send you alerts so you never miss a chance to look up at clouds  aurora again

Camera bag and tripod waiting at door, clear skies at the moment. Come on AuroraWatch, give me a sign🤞🤞🤞

Good luck, hope the aurora arrives and shows that far south, and the clouds stay where they are  for you ...

Fair point.
