Post your 5"/6" planetary pictures

Hi everybody,

I'm new to this site and I would like to start a topic to compare the imaging results from small scopes like the very common 5"/6" maks and SCs we beginners often use.

I use mainly a SW Mak 127 on an old EQ 3.2 mount (HEQ5 on order) with a ZWO ASI 385MC camera.

To start off I'll post a recent ( and quite noisy) picture of jupiter with Europa shadow transit (9/30/2021)   - Mak 127 with 2x balrlow + UV/IR filter

Seeing was rather poor, planet around 30° above horizon, FPS 118, 2500 frames stacked in AS!3, waveltes in RS6.

This is closest to those scopes that I have (taken with 130mm F/6.92 newtonian with apparently spherical mirror):

Taken in 2015.

Nice shot! It's 5" and obviously it's ok even if It is a newtonian...

Colour is off its a 5"Achromatic refractor. But good detail for a 5" low in the UK this year Around 20 degrees

Skywatcher 127 mak this year.

Not recent, but these were captured with a 127 Mak on an EQ3-2 using an SPC900 camera.

And this is with the same OTA and mount, but using an ASI120MC.

Mak 127 with 9mm EP projection, in mediocre seeing.

This last night picture states the worsening seeing condition in autumn.

Mak 127 with 2x barlow, 4500 frames, 118 FPS

Plenty of fine examples on this thread, my smallest aperture unfortunately has been 8"
