Excellent 2.5 hours

Hi earlier tonight the sky looked promising although a little breezy.

I set up my Celestron 6SE at 7.00 pm a small 90.d corner which is sheltered from the breeze, and at 7.30pm I went out and I could see Saturn and Jupiter.

I set the scope onto Jupiter first using my binoviewer and a pair of 20mm matched eyepieces ,the seeing was not to good on Jupiter so I  slewed on to Saturn the seeing was much better so I left the scope running on Saturn.

Soon the seeing became fantastic on Saturn and I stayed on viewing it until 9.00pm until the local trees obscured Saturn completely.

I the set the scope back to Jupiter and the alignment was still spot on and I stopped observing at 9.55pm due to the seeing.

This is the first time that I have seen good detail on both planets since last year with multi banding on Jupiter and a good banding on Saturn and I was well pleased
