Wiltshire Astro Society are chuffed as little meaty balls to announce that our speaker for this coming talk in March (Tuesday March 3rd starting at 8pm) will be Steve Collingwood

Steve is the person responsible for the restoration of Sir Patrick Moore's telescopes, recently featured on a Sky at Night special video/cover disc, and will...fingers crossed, be BRINGING the Cooke refractor with him...yes...Sir PM's scope, along with his talk on the history of BCF, scope setup, collimation etc, and his work at the Herstmonceuax site with the 34" Yapp.

This is a rare event as Steve generally does not do talks to any societies, so we are really proud to have secured this, and as anyone who knows him, his knowledge on scope optics is really second to none.

www.wasnet.co.uk for more info, location and map to get to us..

As everyone who attended knows ...it was a great talk, and the Cooke and PM's brass scope (his first telescope) were both there...

A bit of history in Wiltshire...

Thanks from all of us at WAS Steve..
