Good capture of the Tarantula Nebula. This is an emission nebula in Dorado.

I saw this through a 12 ins Dob at a dark site in Cissy Bay, Nelson, New Zealand, last October. It looked to have some faint pink nebulosity around it. Interesting object - part of the Large Megellanic Cloud.

As John (moondog) says, keep posting the pictures, as its always nice to see the those DSOs that we can't see up here.

I was looking at the Tarantula through a 17" Obsession, at the Dryandra 'sky camp', last October, a fantastic sight. Was in the company of a great bunch of people from ASWA.

Should back over in WA again, at the end of the year.
