M64 - The Black Eye Galaxy

Another from last night, a comet and a galaxy, did not clear until 11.45 but when itt did, the seeing conditions were superb, great when you get one of these unexpected breaks in the weather, have to make the most of them.

14 x 6 Min subs @ IOS800. ED80 with the unmodded 400D, EQ5 guided with the QHY5, stacked in DSS and finished in PS.

Great Image Brendan...I love images on this scale...

I'm hoping that my new setup will allow me to capture widefields like these and close up images at the same time... thats what all the recent changes to scopes and the obs have been about...and then combine them in registar...

Thanks Kevin, surprised how bright it is, will use a longer focal length the next time (6" Newt) as the scale is a bit small with the 80ED but makes a nice capture anyway.
