My name's Ian and I'm from the North West of England. I've done a bit of astronomy in the past but it kind of faded as I moved out of my teens and life caught-up with me.

All I have are a pair of Miranda 10x50 binoculars and my old Philips Planisphere but I hope to get a modest telescope in the near future.

If you have dark skies 10x50 bins will still show the brighter messier objects.

Hi Ian and welcome to SGL. Bino's are a fine way to observe. I just wish I didn't have a very astigmatic left eye or I'd do a lot of bino observing!
