could anyone tell me the best lubricant for a table top dobsonion mount please.thanks.

The best thing for any dob mount is Turtle Wax Original. A wax that is ideal for dob mounts and has the ideal lubrication properties. Recommended by manufactures such as Obsession. Apparently it’s the best performing wax for dobs. All the other waxes have additives in them that make them less suitable.

Stay away from silicone lubricants or waxes containing silicone  or greaeses. You don’t want liquids or greases as they cause stiction as you have to break the bond to start moving.
