SGL Image Challenge 2021 #7 Supernova remnants and planetary nebulae

Still precious little clear skies in suburban Yorkshire. The ubiquitous western veil - this is the first image I’ve managed to get on the new Stellamira 90mm triplet. Sadly the skies only gave me 60 minutes, so here’s 20 x 180s lights (with l-Enhance) on the ASI533MCPro 8DBAAB9C-18E5-4C60-A234-F5B7E6F541CD.thumb.jpeg.dea3f9316fccfdd5a3eec4752b9e0d13.jpegwith darks and flats, stacked in DSS and processed in LR. I’d have loved another couple of hours....

NGC 6992 - Eastern Veil & Bat Nebula - HaRGB

Part of a supernova remnant, about 2,400 light years away in the constellation of Cygnus.

For this image I drizzled the colour data x2 to match the higher resolution of the mono camera and combined it as HaRGB. The H-alpha was also used as a luminance layer.

Stacked and stretched using ASTAP and SiriL, stars removed with Starnet++ and final combination and processing in Adobe Photoshop CS6.

Taken over 2 nights, 11th & 27th October.

60 x 180s RGB with Optolong L-Pro filter.
22 x 360s Ha with Optolong Ha 7nm filter.

Total exposure time 5 hours 12 mins.

William Optics Zenithstar 73, ZWO ASI294MC Pro, ASI294MM Pro.

This is CTA 1, a faint SNR in Cepheus. 33 x 3 mins with a RASA8/QHY268OSC/NBZ filter combination. Calibrated in APP, processed in PI and AP. Starnet in PI was particularly useful in separating the stars from the nebulosity to allow for some severe stretching to the latter.

Thanks to @clarkpm4242 for making this object known to me by way of his image posted in the Deep Sky section.

And here is another image of Sh2-240, the Spaghetti Nebula SNR in Taurus. A combination of a 2 and 4 panel Mosaics captured with a RASA8/QHY268c/NBZ, around 9.2 hrs total integration. Calibrated, stacked and the panels combined in APP, processed in PI and AP. Extensive use made of the EZ suite of scripts in PI, Starnet and AP's background removal tool.
