Takahashi CN-212 : Anyone ever seen or owned one ?

Recommended Posts

Not seen the Tak, but a chum had a 12 inch Fullerscopes Newt/Cas years ago. It strikes me as one of those good ideas on paper, but actually switching and _collimating_ another secondary during a night was a right pain. He ended up leaving it in one mode or other for weeks or months, which sort of defeats the objective.

Skyvision in France offer a convertible Cassegrain (f/16)/Newtonian (f/4).

Range starts at 10" and goes up to 20".

Well SkyVisions mirrors are meant to be very smooth. Made in house, they have not gone down the GSO route. Gavstar has one of their dobs, very good on all counts..
