tripleped
I have been using Sky Safari Pro on my phone for months and I love it- its my main go to for planning and guiding observing sessions. As of today, however, when I look up an object it no longer displays rise and set times- this is true for all objects even for those that I know are visible from my location. It seems to list all the other data (coordinates, magnitude, etc) just as it did before. Tried fixing it in settings but to no avail. Did an update and still didn't solve the problem. Anyone else encountered this?
Knighty2112
Works fine on my iphone and ipad. Do you have the horizon altitude set higher than 0 degrees at all? If so set it backto zero and see if the rise and set times come back.
tripleped
Problem solved. It was in "orbit" mode so the app thought I wasn't actually on earth. Working fine now. Horizon altitude was already on zero. Thanks!
planetman83
Guys, I deal with a very frustrating problem these days with Sky Safari Pro. I use it in my phone and in my tablet. The stars appear right on the phone but on the tablet some stars are missing. Not the faint ones but SOME of them. I have bought the gaia extension database. The settings are the same on both of them.
