Best way to image sunspots

Today I am thrilled to bits that I have got my first sunspot images - to be posted when registax has finished - so I want to get the lowdown on doing this the "correct" way.

Ideas so far are:-

IR block filter might be a good idea

Baader film is really necessary

2000mm is too long a focal length except for close ups

55 seconds at 15fps gives files that are too big

Any more tips please?
