Rubbish UHC filter

So I bought this cheap, no label UHC filter from the internet. I spent an hour and a half imaging the Western Veil with it yesterday and it did a brilliant job of eradicating any trace of the nebula! 😂

I think it only lets through green and yellow light.

not probably but for sure. have a look at ES if on a budget or baader

It was just something I scooped up early on. I hadn't used it before. Just wanted to try it out. I didn't think it would be that bad. 😄 It seems that it was doing exactly the opposite of what a UHC filter should do.

Most of my other filters are Astronomik or Skytech.

Me also ES and  astronomik a lot more money but well spent and Baader plus a couple of optolong

From what I have read the SVbony and Optolong filters are the same .

Are they? I have optolong filters but mine are ES and Astronomic for UHC

I have actually just bought myself a SVbony UHC and a Lumicon OIII. Then the Astronomik UHC and OIII became available on a back order i made! So I now have two of each all 1.25mm
