Saw that it was clear this morning, but I waited to have some coffee and let Luna get a little higher. 

When i finally went out, i realized Jupiter had been occulting Io. If i had been just 10 minutes earlier, i would have seen it pop into view.

What i did see was it just a split frogs hair off the planet!

How many arc secs are in a frogs hair!?🤔

A friend was observing one of the Galilean moons and saw it emerge from behind Jupiter, move away from the planet and then disappear again as it moved into Jupiter's shadow. This was possible because Jupiter was some way off opposition, so the shadow went off at a fair angle.
